Estate Brintzikis is expanded in 100 square miles of owned vineyards, in the same area with the winery. It is neighbouring Enipeas river. Enipeas valley originates an ideal ecosystem for the vineyards cultivation. The consistency of the soil is sandy and clay.

In 1990 the reformation of the old vineyards started. The grape varieties chosen are local, aiming in giving special aromas and taste in the wines. Briefly these varieties are Roditis, Fileri, Asproudi, Agiorgitiko and Mavrodphni.

Our policy is that our current production is sufficient. Our target is to vinificate grapes that match the semi-mountainous climate of Ancient Olympia, knowing that an excellent wine is produced only when the grapes are on their quality peak.

The vineyard is organically cultivated and has the certification of BIO HELLAS.

 

The Estate Brintziki winery and vineyards are situated in Lantzoi, a small village near Ancient Olympia.

The winery is a family business founded in 1996. It is fully equipped with the most modern wine making machinery; it also has a cellar and a tasting room, where tasting of the estate's wines takes place.

The winery's operation plays a very important role in the wine making, cultural and economic development of the greater area. The cultivation of our own vineyard with the local Greek varieties, as well as the long standing collaboration with the local producers, represents significant contribution to the development of grape cultivation in the area.

Estate Brintziki can offer:

  • Conducted tours in the cellar, the warehouse, the bottling line etc.
  • Conducted tours are also made in the old water mill(under construction) situated in the Vineyard, and walks by the bank of the Enipeas river.
  • Wine tasting along with local delicacies.
  • Wine purchasing.
  • Touring in the nearby archeological site of Ancient Olympia.

 

Enipeas : Handsome god of the river whom according to mythology, Tyro, dayghter of Salmoneas (King of Ilis), fell in love with. Enipeas didn't respond to her love, so Poseidon who was in love with her, took the chance and pretending to be Enipeas tricked her and made love to her next to the banks of the river.

Even today the local legend has it that Enipeas, the handsome man wanders around the waters of the river.

Next to the river Enipeas, the family-owned vineyard Brintzikis with the selected varieties of grapes, gives you the wine for your table. It is wine from the place which helped Poseidon with his plan for Tyro.

It is wine for the victory celebrations at the Olympic Games.
